A product of both east and west, Avantika (or A.V. to her friends and family) spent her early years growing up in India. Raised in a warm and loving family, she developed a strong sense of self and values which she continues to live her life by today.

After earning her bachelor's degree in architecture, A.V. joined one of the leading architectural and city planning firms in India, where she quickly made a mark for herself. Armed with a strong sense of aesthetic and fueled with a deep desire to learn, she went on to gain strong marketing and design experience with J. Walter Thompson, India, where she successfully launched major brands including Ford Motors in India.
A desire to continue to grow brought her to UCLA in 1996. With her brother helping fund her tuition and working 30 hours a week while being enrolled full time in graduate school to make ends meet, A.V. graduated from the UCLA School of Art and Architecture with a 3.8 GPA.
Currently a resident of Hollywood Hills, A.V. enjoys giving back to her community, and is actively involved with the Hollywood United Neighborhood Council. In her time off, she loves cooking and spending time with her family, friends, and two adorable Great Danes – Lara and Tank.
